I am a passionate advocate for true child-led learning. The kind that takes the adults out of the driver seat and allows us to truly see the interests of the child. This can be an uncomfortable place for many adults to rest, however it is here that the most magical and rich learning happens. Let me show you how.
I am a qualified Montessori Teacher with over ten years of classroom experience, a mother of three, and a lifelong learner myself, living on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

I see children as capable individuals with whom respect is due. Communicating respectfully, listening carefully and scaffolding conversations rich with learning opportunities and depth are among my strengths.
I believe that when children feel seen, loved and respected, they show us who they really are. These moments allow us an insight into their inner workings and to their world. We need to tread with care whilst here, but if we do we can open up unique learning opportunities that are specific to the child's interests.
"Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment." — Maria Montessori
A kind, gentle and tactful approach suitable for children of all ages and learning profiles.

I love to support families to engage their children in true learning opportunities. I draw on my depth of knowledge of Montessori principles including using multi-sensorial resources, fostering independence and the environment as an educator.
Through video consultation, I work with parents in an advisory and coaching role, educating them on how to effectively implement learning and behaviour strategies to achieve their desired outcomes.
I also offer Montessori Philosophy guidance and lifestyle coaching.
I engage directly with children for
in-person sessions or tutoring via video call.
I creatively and effectively work with families to implement a range of strategies recommended by their Allied Health teams as I understand there can be a disconnect between receiving reports and actually setting goals to work towards, and then getting the work done!
I have experience working with children across a wide range of neurodiversities including ASD, ADHD, PDA, SLD, School Refusal.

Bec was incredibly generous in sharing her expert knowledge with me, gained though many years of teaching children in a Montessori classroom, and while I was hoping to inspire my children, I have found myself very inspired too. She was professional, attentive and listened to what we were wanting and tailored her advice for us. I cannot recommend Bec enough and I look forward to working with her further."
